Has anyone had much success on catching the local prawns? What is it that you need to look for? Can you actually see the blighters or do you just have to cast and hope? Is it better from the boat or land? Would love to get a feed, I hear shoal bay can be good for them but I wouldn?t know where to start? Do you only get them at the start of the wet?
Cheers

Need a drag net, its not illegal and if your looking for prawns its the best way to go. Mine comes out once year and i fill an esky with jelly prawns, not the best for eating but they provide excellent bait for the year. As i said it only needs to come out once a year, shoal bay on a nice shallow flat near the mangroves will do the trick
