Shady Camp - Shark Attack 1m+ Barra

Post by Out Blue »

Hit Shady today looking for that meter barra, well we found it but not in the traditional terms.

Saw the big girl on the surface roll next to the boat, bit of commotion and we could see a shark having a go at her. Managed to get a landing net under her only just and get it out of the water before any more damage was done but she'd lost all her tail.

Measured spot on 1m even without the tail and it was a good solid fish and such a waste.

What a shame, she seems to be quiet a healthy girl.

Bugger... seen a 115 caught tuesday but must of struggled with the release. It taken them ages to revive too.

Cracker of a fish, shame about the shark. Taxidermist could make a tail ...

same thing happened to us in Tommycut last Wednesday...except we dropped this right at the boat after a 5 min struggle. Obviously she was knackered and good old taxman had lunch!

Caution: there’s something fishy about this fella…

Fishing isn’t a matter of life and death…. It’s much more important.

Hi Ronje
That is a perfect example of lordosis. A curvature of the spine that is common in hatchery reared fish mostly due to a deficiency
