Just spent a few days with some mates from qld fishing some creeks around the mouth of the Wearyn, camping at Manangoora Station. We had a ball plenty of average sized fish in the creeks up to 75 or so...until I managed to bag this girl at 116, great tussle in a tight shallow creek she swam straight back to the boat before powering off at full speed in well under a metre of water giving us a rarely seen look at a big fish trying to split a creek in half with its shoulders. A couple of big jumps as well kept the knees trembling until she came into the net. Revived really well and swam off stronglyNo.2

What a fish
Great to hear some news from the Gulf. Any dead mangroves in that area?
