Just wondering if the GPS marks in the fish finder mag can be popped straight into a furano chart plotter or is there a conversion that needs to take place?
Also with google earth, is there a conversion?
cheers in advance

Re: gps marks from fish finder mag
Google Earth uses the standard WGS84 which is what I think Fish Finder uses as well.
If you've got a copy handy look in the first few pages where it'll tell you.
If not ask Matt.

Thanks Matt
There'll be an option in the chartplotter menu/setup page about datum.
Select WGS8. There should also be an option to use degrees.minutes.decimal minutes. Choose it.
The only thing that might be a problem for you then is how you've got Google Earth set up for lat and long.
You'll have to put GE onto the same format as FF with dd.mm.mmm The last 3 mmm mean that the format is in decimal
minutes to 3 places and NOT in degrees, minutes, seconds which is the traditional lat/long format.
There is a GE option under tools/options which caters for that.
