Re: Lowrance auto pilot
I hear they seize up on boats that don't get out at least once a year.

Imagine how many stubbies on the way out to FTB if you both had 2 free hands.

That what I had in mind Balou. Have the rods rigged the deck cleared and the beer drunk before we get there.

My neighbour and Wife's uncle has it. He did his first trip with it not long ago and he said it was awesome. He said it drives better than him, to which his wife replied probably because the auto pilot doesn't drink

Re: Lowrance auto pilot
I fitted one just recently, piece of cake to fit if you don't include being a neat freak and trying to figure out where to put all the wiring. Is an absolutely awesome piece of kit on the water. The obvious benefit is of course point and shoot hands free runs to the grounds but less obvious and a really cool thing for me is the noticeable reduction in fatigue after a big day trolling, and the fact that I have a voice at the end of the day due to not having to yell at the deckie to "keep the f#$@%& boat straight" when chasing Billies.
