Oh, land based.... Well probably still there if you have a 4wd and follow the Hardies trail. Word of warning, anywhere you can fish land based for saratoga will also be a good place to be taken by a crocodile.

Yep, ditto re crocs ...

Only place I'd recommend is Manton, there are some cracker toga in there, and a few pozzies where you can get them landbased. Much better in a tinny tho.

Good call on Manton. For there you could even hire a kayak from We Sell Fun.

Anniversary Creek. Follow it downstream from the road if you're game!

Try lake girraween 4wd track in from girraween rd if u want a close to town spot.

Electric n cartopper is the go

it has a mud ramp used to get some in the mid 80cm from this area on gold lucifer originals right on crack of dawn.
it can be fished off the bank but even a yak will improve the catches significantly.

Meter barra in here too and blackbream , never caught a f..kn. powertail....

touch wood

Pb barra from this lake 98cm it was fat as though n fought hard as mayes dad ran one over skiing in here in the 80s it measured 103.

Coroboree saratoga last dry .

out of the tinny unmeasured my pb is 93cm from wildman river

Heaps of gay fly fishers love them.

Dahlberg divers or clousers are good choices... and don't get thrown as often as real lures.
