63cm from Bathurst Island on an 008 B52. It was pretty tough foshing out there, the currents are wild on big tides and the water was pretty dirty. Biggest barra for the trip was 70cm and we got about 10 species on lure. Trip home was a bit rough on Monday, we even came across a waterspout. Also, check out this amazing snag, it is potentially proof that there is a god!

Great post, early September waterspout is perhaps unusual

79cm on the squidgy slick rig,was the best of 6 six fish casting, water was filthy and had a green scum on the surface, some sort of coral spawn maybe? Good to see they havn't started work on the shady camp ramp too!

Great fish, always the same blokes getting them

Surprised no one went for the early bonus. Doesn't seem to be a lot of fish being caught, but you only need one to enter for a shot at the monthly prize.

92cm of chrome goodness from Darwins most famous spot on the NTs favourate lure. Caught at the Rock casting a 10+ Classic Barra Guns'n'Roses.

Released, but unfortunately got hit by a Bull Shark 20 minutes later. So I got to take fillets home after all! :o

Night trolling session in Hardies produced this solid 86cm fish.

I was lucky enough to have been asked to assist with NT's million dollar fish competition this year. Tasked with tagging the few remaining fish in the gulf region of the NT we managed to get the job done in a few short days.
Following the tagging we had a few short hours this morning to squeeze in a short social fish where I managed a mediocre 64 up the top of the McArthur.
I'm hoping to upgrade this if the Mrs lets me out of the house again.
This area of the NT is nothing short of spectacular and we had by catches of pan size goldies, jacks, cod and salmon all in the creeks. The wind blew hard and limited our options and coupled with having to release fish at several different locations we ran out of time to fish socially.
Make sure you're registered this year guys and please note that the tags this year are RED again. Good luck to all.

Ever had one of those moments when you've cast your lure way into the mangroves and thought gee I hope I don't hook up now. Well that happened to me this morning. I must have said a dozen times thats it he's gone but each time the battle looked lost I had a small stroke of luck and eventually got the fish out and into the net. Missed a couple of other nice fish but it was the first trip out for the month so was pretty happy. He went 65.
