Having a kid?

Post by Matt Flynn »

Off topic but bl..dy important for the many young Darwin blokes/sheilas having a kid. Keep mum off the vitamins ...

Researchers have found that if a new mother has a very high level of folate the risk that her child will develop an autism spectrum disorder doubles.

Additionally, very high vitamin B12 levels in new moms are tripling the risk that her child will develop an autism spectrum disorder.

And the clincher; if both levels are extremely high, the risk that a child develops the disorder increases 17.6 times!

This is serious stuff for prospective parents.

Full story ... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... 105352.htm

Got a feeling the vitamin industry will have a lot to answer for in future.

Another one to watch, excess vitamin B6 can cause nerve damage.

I barely took those dang horse pills.
I ate and drank everything they say not to and was eating shellfish and any seafoods up to the day my son was born. he doesn't have any allergies and is a growing boy who eats everything! I don't believe all the cr.p that they put out there to us, everything in moderation I say!

Seems to be a lot of people with autistic kids nowadays, that's why I posted this up.

Ironic if excess folate and B12 is the culprit, eg Vitamin B pills.

As always, these mob don't have a solid answer. I'm sure most of our parents never took supplements when pregnant with having us and look at the low rates of Autism / Down Syndrome etc.

It makes me often wonder whether some of the "Syndromes" they are coming up with these days are just simply nothing and they use some mega large scary sounding word to make someone feel better about having a name for absolute rubbish.
