Could China have been behind the census attack, given they are angry with "paper tiger" Australia for its South China Sea stance?

Not an improbable theory given this ... http://www.news.com.au/technology/onlin ... 417e4a48c6

And it might explain the lack of immediate answers from the Federal Government ... if it was China it would be hugely awkward, and would mean that Chinese investment in Australia would have to be questioned.

Or was it just incompetence by the IBM/ABS partnership? Hard to believe they could get it so wrong, either the attack was epic, or the incompetence was epic ...

Looks like Vietnam copped it ... "More recently, it’s been reported the Vietnamese government agencies and major airports have been targeted in a series of cyber attacks" ... http://www.news.com.au/world/asia/tensi ... 26fb2d3792

And they aren't happy .... http://www.news.com.au/finance/business ... 6c3bac7bf6

Gotta love 'em, building war islands on disputed land, with claims around the word of ongoing Chinese cyber attacks, then they call Australia a paper tiger and say we are all that can be expected from a prison colony, and now they say we are paranoid ...

I hope their international PR efforts aren't an indication of the quality of overall governance :D
