Tree Point Ownership

Post by trev4th »

Pulled into the area behind Tree Point on saturday afternoon to clean some crabs and fillet a couple of fish, it's out of the breeze. Was told by an older aboriginal man that we were on his land and he asked if would move further offshore. Given that we were forty or fifty yards from the shore I was wondering where the border for ownership lies. Any one else had similar experiences because this is the first in thirty years of fishing the area.

If you do a search on here you will find a map of what land belongs to who. One thing is for sure, if you were in the water, he is kidding himself

Been assaults out there over the years by locals who don't like visitors.

Leaders Creek also used to be a hotspot for car break-ins, until the fishing base was built.

That's what happened when Cook landed wasn't it. They assaulted one of his men with a spear in the leg
At least that's what I was taught
I think
Cant be sure these days with all the pills I take as it seems to have been removed from history
The past is history, the future is mystery, the moment is a gift and that's why it's called the present
