Gunn Point Road Conditions

Post by Geraldton892 »

Has anyone been down Gunn Point Road lately?. Was thinking of hitting SWA to find some run off

Get out there. I headed out there Wednesday, the road had potholes bigger than town hall hole for the first 5 or so km, but after that it was great. On the run home it was even better, there were two graders out there cleaning up. From the Leaders turnoff it'd still be like glass.

Not much boofing around, plenty of bait tho. Scored an 88 and saw another boat get a 92. I dropped another without seeing it but it was another big fish.

Not much in the way of runoff but I didn't go further upstream than the first Wilshire.

Thanks for that Jabsy, yeah was pretty quite until i headed up the hotham creeks, got smashed quite a few times and didn't manage to boat any but the action was awesome. That road had more then a few potholes, cracked my spare wheel carrier again and managed to loose my no plate again

Went out there Friday night, it was horrible. I dont think the grader had been back since I mentioned it above.

We took it easy as the corrugations are as deep as the grand canyon, it took 1 hr 20 mins from the end of the bitumen to the boat ramp. I've driven it when its slop and its better then....

Or the bridge... I've done it before when the road was closed.

Went and had a bit of a look this arvo before the rain. Looks like it's just been graded.
