Low house prices are better for everyone ... except people who invest in houses.

We'll be right they'll do a quality environmental assessment before it goes ahead...just like they did with the Melville Island Port. May as well cross off the Darwin harbour for a fish. WTF!

That is significantly larger than the Inpex project.

Only larger in the size of the land it is sitting on , the project itself appears to be considerably smaller.

Any idea of when it may start if it gets the nod??

Has there ever been a project that didn't get the nod other than for economic reasons?

With government budgets taking a hit at the moment, they won't be knocking anything back.

Looks that way, but remember how many truck loads were running from Mount Bundy to Inpex? This has appears to have more than double that area. Not sure how much of that will be fill?

That's a lot of chemicals close to housing in Palmerston

From what I read it will just be a concentrate that will be pumped to middle arm then dried and straight to a ship. Most of the refining will be done at the mine site. Would only be a few driers and conveyors near palmo.

This was in the paper last year. I think I remember it being an $800 million dollar project. The Ichthys is 34 billion just as a comparison

The housing development is interesting. Might not be good timing. Fair few houses/units fit on 132ha.

Low house prices are best for an economy, but once they are high, falling house prices are not good.

Think a fair bit is going to be 1acre blocks. Few adds on TV lately about them. Funny as the caravan park wanted to build (nearly already had it finished ) a golf course and got knocked back
