Went out into the harbour for a barra fish on the low tide.
Did ok again in one of the arms.
By catch was worth it also.
2 barra's landed, both just got over the 55 cm.

Before any asks, yes one of the barra on the sink is just a head, the fillet is in the back ground.
I got cleaning before realising I hadn't taken a brag shot.

My method of fishing the harbour:-
Find a spot with rocks or wood/trees or any structure close to the water line on a low tide.
As the tide comes in, look for the classic back eddies behind these as the water covers these structures.
Barra love to wait and ambush in these areas.
Usually catch the barra between 1 1/2 and 3 hours of the run in tide.

All my barra/and bycatch were caught on dead fresh bait. ( mullet, glassies, sardines, prawns etc)
Favourite being a mullet head only with the hook through the lip.
