My boys first Jewie

Post by Edo »

Fishos,
Took my boys out wide last Monday for my eldest boys birthday, 9 years old,"time for a big fish dad", he said.
Drifted around on the neaps with all 3 boys pulling in reefies and got this nice Jewie, made his day and mine as it was our first NT Jewie.
Caught on a paternoster rig using squid.Tried jigging for a few more but got busted off and had a 3-4 foot black tip reefie swallow my jig as I was winding in :o
Cheers
Edo

He looks stoked. Good to see your kids in hats and jackets too. Mine hate them, but accept their fate...

We make sure that they were them when travelling and I usually let them take them off in those sorts of conditions once we pull up but they were to busy catching fish to worry about how hot and bulky they are Jabsy, but yes they are not big fans of them mate
