Fellas. Ive got a hds10 gen 2 button jobby and just got an MG xi5 and the gateway kit. Hooked it all up, went to follow the installation procedure but didnt need to, it just worked and perfectly, except one small thing. When sending the xi5 to the cursor or a waypoint on the hds it anchors 7-8m away. Can i make the hds use the xi5's gps reciever? It shows up in the nmea device list but not sure how to select it.

Anyone?

If you bought it from IOM they'll be able to sort it out

I did. Thats the next port of call.

try this,
open data sources window above device list, click on gps, then gps global,
a window should come up with all gps devices connected, then toggle the one for the motor guide
if its all set up correctly then hds10 autopilot function should be able to control motorguide as well
page 104 in the hds gen1 manual

Cheers tugger. I'll check it out. I have the hds's autopilot controlling the xi5 but i think the distance between the hds's gps reciever and the xi5's gps is where im tripping up.

Make sure your lowrance software is upto date.
