River monster?

Post by Dick »

Well lake monster actually......and in a Ripley's Believe it or not- there was a night skateboarding session at the ski park, biggest lights set up over the water attracting jumbo sized moths attracting all sorts of fish. Got a 'heads up' from one of the wakeboarders when barras started to boof just off shore, we were on the water anyway and after 1000 casts the rest just fell into place :) .

Bucketmouth!

Great to see that the fishery has worked out.

And a shame that old Manton Dam doesn't seem to produce really big fish.

Yeah dinger it went 123cm, we didn't lift it in as it was a bit doughy boat side and fought like a sack of spuds. The 117cm fish about an hour later jumped twice and was all over the show, a much better fish.

Cracker mate. Its amazing what a bit of light over the water does to attract them. Its like running a magnet through the hay stack!

No sub surface NBN. Flicked fizzers etc around initially but only got follows from archer fish. Went to deeper diving lures and it paid off eventually.
