Re: TrailCraft 5.1 Profish
Mate, just wish i had the time to use it, we've had the boat for over a year now, and been out 3 times, i'm downgrading to something a bit smaller that i can handle on my own with the kids.
Cheers,
Brad

Re: TrailCraft 5.1 Profish
i almost always go solo and once you master it, its easy as.
the best advice i ever got about launching was to get a long painter rope (15m) and tie it off to the trailer winch post. shoot the boat off and take up the slack.
you can control the boat in every situation. once launched, just move it clear of the ramp and tie up to the wharf, trees, rocks
give it a go before you flog the boat off

Electric motor
Launch the boat as above with the rope tied off. Than drop the electric in and spot lock off the ramp. Go Park the car and come back down. All done

Re: TrailCraft 5.1 Profish
Brad those kids will grow up quick, think our kids are similar ages (6,7). I bought a 4.1m as the mud boat 3 years ago for solo runs with the kids but we quickly out grew that. Upgraded to a 4.55 and outgrew that as well fairly quick. Recently upgraded again to 485 trail craft which kind of perfect for us for now.A_Nomad wrote:Mate, just wish i had the time to use it, we've had the boat for over a year now, and been out 3 times, i'm downgrading to something a bit smaller that i can handle on my own with the kids.
Yours sounds like a great rig and great all rounder. Put up a few pics mate.
