Early barra before the build up.

Post by Scamper »

Barra are out there to get caught.
Went out last night with old mate.
The Barra won the night, hooked 5 and only landed one.
2 spat the lure after a big jump, totally leaving the water.
2 we got to the boat but couldn't get them to the net, hook broke on the lure and the other spat the lure. Estimate 65cm and 80cm
That was after at least 6 jumps each.
Last one well and truly hooked, jumped several times leaving the water each time. Went 80cm.
All Barra were on steroids last night, I've never had them so aggressive, jumping and fighting to the end before.

Good barra mate! Well done!
It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

“Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime”

"Soon after I embraced the sport of angling I became convinced that I should never be able to enjoy it if I had to rely on the cooperation of the fish."
