To burley or not to burley

Yeah mate this has worked great for me in the past. I prefer not to use bought berley as it brings the crocs around but I have manged to catch some great bream and flatties with this stuff.

I usually always burley if I'm anchored and fishing for mackies. Don't seem to get too bothered with sharks, might get the occasional one or two. I use one of the detachable burly buckets that mount to the transom ladder mounts. I like it because I can leave it down if I need to reposition the boat (obviously remove it if you plan going long distances or going flat out..)

A trail of chopped pillies works well for mackies
