A classic moment is better than a seniors moment I guess. But yes I am pondering a bit I guess over a few of the last comments regards the comp being a smoke screen by the CLP or the likelihood of a netted fish claiming the prize money. A million bucks is bit of money even in the NT. You will be able to help with one of those peter, do they met barras all year and if not how much of the season is even in the comp period. As far as the CLP thing goes once again they they have no need for such a feeble smokescreen as they have started a huge bushfire from within.

The fish doesn't have to be alive, fresh and with a location shot like the Seadogs comp to qualify to enter. Given that you are meant to keep the fish in your possession until your entry has been validated there is nothing to stop you putting it on the ice. Pretty easy to throw a decky or a mate a $1000 to enter it on your behalf and say it was caught on a lure instead of his square hook.

I would imagine the smaller amounts will be on smaller fish which would pass through the nets. Although it dud state they would inspect the fish prior to payment.
Bet they don't pay out on a fish with net markings.

Good Question

Earlier in the year, my Brother caught a tagged fish below Elizabeth on the Daly, and I caught the same fish 6 weeks later at No Fish Creek

I caught a tagged barra a few weeks back in the harbour. Awaiting details of when it was caught first. Tag had been in there a while by the looks
