What do you think the best and easiest way of fishing? Using handlines or rods?

Heavy handlines are fun with big fish like jewies and big snapper.

Casting barra lures, not so much.

I have had some great fishing on hand lines as a lad
but prefer rods in my lazy days .
When I take the grandkids out in the harbour we still like to let them
have a go on hand lines and they have a ball catching small reefies .

Hand lines always a handy back up on the boat , and still like dropping one
on a shoal off shore for some fun , often they get hit before the rod :catch:
Great for catching live bait .

Handline comes in handy when the razor gang arrive on a hot bite but my back prefers a nice springy rod these days

Stuff the handlines, I've still got the scars to remind me.
