35KG GT bycatch off Dundee today!

Post by Skippadman »

We decided to do a Mackie mission to Dundee for the change of the low this morn. We ended up with 4 Spaniards and a massive 35KG GT as bycatch (TIC)...oh and a couple of trout thrown in for good measure.

Good work mate, nice fish. That Gt is a good one for Dundee but it aint 35kg's. I think it might go 30b but thats about it.

Iwl dig out a picture of one that went 33 kg gilled and gutted at Morgan's seafood at Scarbourough a week after it was takenfrom the sandy Cape shoals maby twenty years ago and see if I can scan. The ones on this post is a big fish though.

Very nice GT, and trout and Micks
Looks like a top session
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

 Fantastic bycatch

Good bag all round to

Well done fella's!
It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

“Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime”

"Soon after I embraced the sport of angling I became convinced that I should never be able to enjoy it if I had to rely on the cooperation of the fish."
