Discussion Paper: Our Water Future; A conversation with Terr

Post by tristan.sloan »

AFANT has a strong commitment to ensuring the protection of recreational fishing in the Northern Territory which is inextricably linked to the health and quality of the top end aquifers, rivers, waterways, landscapes and coastal areas.

We have just commented on the Discussion Paper: Our Water Future; A conversation with Territorians 2015.

Our full submission can be found here http://afant.com.au/feature/afants-subm ... ture-2015/

Thanks Seano, Water use, dams and irrigation certainty have a huge impact on river health and our fisheries and AFANT plans to be heavily involved across these issues

The water trigger was added to the EPBC act 1999 in 2013. It can only be applied to CSG development. It should be amended to include all development.
