caught this CREATURE at the Perons, at first i thought it was coral untill i went to pull it off and it was locked onto the small peice of squid on my jig. any ideas??

I think its a kind of star fish. There are things called brittle stars and basket stars which are not what you are holding but it looks like its in the same ball park

I thought it was some sort of ocean spider, starfish sounds more likely

They must be fairly aggressive to attack a jig bouncing around on a drift

And it had a pair of pliers attached as well!!!
looke like a brittle star to me but i didnt think they were that fast underwater
