Dundee beach Sunday 26th
Hi guys and girls,
I'm thinking of fishing Dundee tomorrow, but not being a regular out that way, was just wondering if the wind and swell would be too much in a 4.8m boat? I would be looking at going, depending on conditions, around Long Lost and working south towards Blaze reef, mainly chasing mackies.
Any help or advice would be appreciated, I don't want to get out there only to find it's too rough.
Thanks in advance.
Mick.

Strong wind warning, you would have to be a bit crazy!

Thanks qiksix, I was unaware of that warning. Might have to rethink Dundee for the time being.
30 knot winds south of Channel Point, not my idea of a fun day out..

I dont see a wind warning for that area. Below 10kts in the morning, 10-15kts during the day S-SE. swell below 1m

Found it. Would probably go in my boat if I really wanted to fish but not in a 4.8m. However, going up the Finniss would be good. Go early before the wind and back late when it dies off a bit. Ramp should be fine with a S-SE in the arvo

Thanks for the replies. Decided against Dundee, did the harbour instead. Still quite windy, managed a small goldie, which was successfully released, spent some time in Woods inlet, was home after lunch. If Dundee was anything like the harbour today, probably a wise decision.
Saw one boat launch this morning, lose a wheel off the trailer, then proceed to drag the trailer back up the boat ramp, so I guess my day could've been a lot worse than a bit of wind and chop.

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

Not sure Dennis, we told the guy that was waiting in the boat that the wheel was floating in the water and his response was "Yeah, the bearings are a bit f@#ked.. " I didn't see if the wheel had just come off or if it had taken the hub with it.

HARBOUR was rough yesterday.
We got three goldies and a small jewie.
9 boats on town hall by 11am
Dundee was bad last Thursday also weather wise but the fishing was still OK
