Hey guys, Im taking a boat out for the first time to Shady next weekend, I was wondering what sort of height I will need to launch and retrieve? where is the best place to get the tide times? and anything else a first timer might need to know. thanks for any help cheers

What size boat do you have mate? We got out on the neaps at nearly low with 6.7 barcrusher. But to be safe just leave yourself half a tide. I use willy weather at shady barrage. It's only shallow until you hit the second bend and From there it's smooth sailing, good luck

Thanks Barnzy its a 5.2m so should be able to get out on the half tide.

I came in yesterday just after the low and there was about 40cm of water just below the ramp. Small boats could get out but we waited an hour. Had to winch my 6.1m boat on though
