WTF is this
Mates were up middle arm on Tuesday and spotted this in the upper reaches.
About 3 or m meteres long with its tail missing. Looks like someone tried to torch it?
I was thinking pilot whale? Photo isn't that good.

Re: WTF is this
I heard today that some Mob were up there and towed it away.
They reckon it was a false killer whale?

Re: WTF is this
Funnily enough mate, through my work I have been doing marine mammal survey and asked about the photo to the head honcho. She said that a false killer whale had got itself stuck in the mangrove roots in middle arm the other day and that this was probably the animal. It was hanging from the trees at low tide so obviously died.ghound wrote:I heard today that some Mob were up there and towed it away.
