Just curious to know who the new afant exec officer is..??

Hes posted 3 times on here but never introduced himself (i think?).

Just seems to be another friggin southerner with no idea trying to tell us how we should live and fish?

Also.. What happened to Ingram? Been erased from afant website??

Hi hemi - type afant into google and you will see that they have a new ceo - CI has moved on and new blood in in for a few years. just like all politics.

You could have applied for the position like the rest of us

Found out some info which was good.

We agreed on a few points and we've agreed to disagree on some other points..

G'day STANDY, I had a talk with fisheries this morning. I am heading down to Shady in a few weeks to look at the proposition to build a new ramp downstream. Government has pledged $2M towards this with the first stage involving a report by a coastal engineers. I will keep you informed.

A new ramp at Shady is fantastic news!

Don't hold your breath. What this is is the prelim bait to head into an election next year. After this "study" the carrot will be dangled during the ramp up to the election to build the ramp during the next cycle. That means it is at least 5 years away and you have to vote The Country Liberals in next time. Watch for the announcement soon that they will be starting the scoping for the ramp at Dundee. That too will be finished in time for an election promise.

What happened to all the engineering reports from last time? Im certain I read some where that they had commenced the reporting/engineering phase ect.

My understanding is that there has been 2 million for the shady camp ramp. This will not even scratch the surface of new ramp. My understanding is afant is suggesting to spend it on the currant ramp rather than risk loosing it totally waiting for more for the new ramp.

I don't mind shady camp ramp, it adds to the experience haha.

yeah $2M wouldnt even cut in the new road let alone build a new ramp.
Now if we all chipped in say, $100 000, im sure we could get it done asap.
