Important stuff

Introduce yourself, talk about beer, crocs, headlines, dugongs or Paris Hilton.

Important stuff

Post by Matt Flynn »

Valuable media airtime is wasted on stories not important to many people, and some topics are beaten to death with repeated airplay.

Some very important stories slip quietly past on the science websites, that should be mainstream media front page news. For example ...

Pregnant women exposed to household chemicals, including costmetics/makeup, give birth to dumber children ... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 140823.htm

Household chemical exposure in pregnant women disrupts growth of boys ... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 121858.htm

Statins, the hugely popular (with doctors) cholesterol drugs are not as effective as often claimed, and have bad side effects that may outweigh the advantages ... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 110850.htm

Chemicals found in plastics (including tinned food) and other products gives men low testosterone ... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 191528.htm

There's a load of other examples ... more important reports than half the cr.p that's on the news each night.

Just read that story, and have found the best newspaper in the WORLD!
$234,000 gets him in BRW rich list at BRW 47,000th richest? Hahahha, a brand new 2003 top of the range landcruiser cost him $15000 (new)making it one of the most expensive cars in the region at the time? Hahahaha!
The cops just bulldozed the remains in a pile and burnt the bodies! Hahahaha!
This must be one of those news papers that report alien abductions and dogs born with 7 heads etc.
