FFF Seadogs 2015 - Southern Freshwater
One year-long round kicks off Sunday, February 1, and ends December 25. Entries on this thread. This southern "round" is intended to give the FFF site administrator a chance to enter some fish, but anyone fishing the southern freshwater who would like to enter, go for it.
Prize is a $500 box of lures from Reidys, Rapala and Halco/RMG.

Southerner Alert
On the board:
Had a day off yesterday so hit one of my favourite bass sections of the Karuah River in the yak. River was up, dirty water and 40km/h winds from the West....terrific.
Struggled for 7 fish, best attached; all on the surface. Difficult to find some level ground for the brag mat. I'm saying around 40cm as the mouth is off the end of the mat, unless we are measuring to the fork? Leave that one in your hands Matt.

Re: FFF Seadogs 2015 - Southern Freshwater
Upgrade for April.
Found a small window post the battering (weather) of earlier in the week. A dawn service, sorry surface on Lake Glenbawn yesterday. Unfortunately the surface work resulted in nought.
Found a 25ft lump dropping to 80ft around mid morning off a steep (cliff) bank. The old 2inch Gulp shrimp in natural did the business on the front edge of the lump. Couple of nice Yellowbelly and Bass - the best attached. 48cm.
The day before the surface worked all day - out of the wind in the shadows only.

Re: FFF Seadogs 2015 - Southern Freshwater
Spent the weekend at Lochlorian up near Niangala NSW. Toiled hard for 4 Rainbows; the best attached - I'll call him 49cm.
For the purists; got him on a Rapala BX Jointed Shad in SMT.
Good fun on 4lb leader. Must be getting old, could barely see the stuff to tie my knots.....

Re: FFF Seadogs 2015 - Southern Freshwater
Had my first crack at Windamere Dam near Mudgee on Sunday. Landed some nice Yellowbelly, my best attached: 55cm. Interestingly they were all 53 - 56cm, from different snags/banks and parts of the dam.
Got them jigging/slow rolling (and I mean slow, excruciatingly slow!) Gulp 3inch black minnows in the heavy timber. My partner in crime landed a 56cm that resembled a medicine ball with fins.....some healthy fish in that system!
