Heading to Darwin

Post by Dick »

I'm heading up to Darwin on this Sunday, the early part of the next week we'll be just doing the tourist thing and a bit of shopping. Thursday morning my missus heads back home for work. I've got time that arvo and most of Friday then all day the following Monday after. Unfortunately the Saturday and Sunday weekend will be taken up with the Darwin 7s.

I'm keen for a fish so will be bringing my gear up. Keen on anything as long as it has fins but milkfish are on my barrel list. If anyone is interested in taking me by the hand on any of those days I'd be very much appreciated :) .

I'm working, but you can get Miilkys landbased if you're willing to catch them on bread. There should be a few old posts on here somewhere telling you where and when.

Hi Dick,

I am just back from holidays yesterday, so I will have to go to work this week, can't not go...
Which is bad, I would have loved to go fishing with you.

I haven't chased milkfishes for a long time, but here is a post that tell the story of how I got my first one, at the time thanks to the help from Sheeby:
http://fishingterritory.com/landbased-f ... t=milkfish

I haven't re-read it, but from memory it gives a good idea of how to get one.
If there is any thing that you don't understand in the post, you are more than welcome to PM me.

Have a good day, and good luck!
Pecheur
