GPS, our boat's or Google?????.

Post by NT Mick »

C'mon Kai...
That's a cop out :P
The first one is ALWAYS week!
It'll be here in a few days!
Yes it'll be week, but it will be the monsoon!
I'll put 6rum cans on it (next time I visit)
If it's not mentioned in the forecast as monsoonal showers or the trough ain't on the weather map by New Year's Day I'll pay you double for my rum cans...
If it is, it's your shout?

I think Kai has got this one won well and truely. My prediction is 12th of January for the proper rains. It was January 19th last year that the monsson set in.

I'll be extremely surprised if it doesn't arrive Wednesday night, Thursday morning at the latest!
It'll hit with a bang for a day, back off a bit for a few days then look out!

Well Mick, you are starting to sound like "cop out". I agree to have accepted you bet, but read my post 27/12, clearly states "first proper monsoon", if a few good showers like the one we had Saturday, No river rise or any other noticeable change, it may just be a weak trough.

And you also said "first one always weak", totally disagree, please check last year and most previous years, first one mostly gives considerable river rise, and finches agree.

Anyway, not backing away from bet, but we may have to have outside judgement???. Kai

Was pretty funny. I made my comment and checked the weather forcast 2 minutes later. Bangs head repeatedly. I guess the fact it has been published as a monsoon period it has to count.

CONGRATULATIONS Mick, 6 cold Bundy's awaiting your arrival... Don't think you will get much run off out of this "monsoon".

See you soon. Kai.

Drink the 6 bundy's and he will have all the runoff he needs. Fishing is always better with a 6 bundy runoff.
