The same job that made this motor affordable to me also kept me from going to buy it yesterday. Oh, the irony!

Re: 140 hp suzuki
Just did the water test last Friday with my new 200 lightweight suzuki! Very impressed with the performance of this motor! Yeah it was a big jump from the 140. But very comfortable cruise speed of 55km hr at 4200rpm getting between 1.7-1.8 km/l. Very happy with the crew at frenchy's. They did not muck around getting he motor in once ordered. And had it fitted for me asap. top end is now 75km/h stoked to say the least. I'm trying to put some photos up but I'm having trouble on my phone

Re: 140 hp suzuki
Yeah I was locked in to a 175 in January from frenchy's. Then Chris rang me with news the 200 lightweight had just been released. Wasn't Ment to come out Til january. It's only 8kg heavier then the 175 so I bit the bullet. Got to do water test Friday then flew out to adelaide for 2 weeks! All I can do is look at photos of it haha chomping at the bit to put some hrs on it next yr

Looks awesome mate. Big improvement from the 140hp I'm sure. Quick question, what pitch prop are you running? I did an upgrade as well and am trying to find the right prop for mine (175suzi on a 5.3m plate boat) but keep redlining a 21, 23 and 24 inch pitch at 3/4 throttle and trim. Might have to bite the bullet and fork out for a 25 inch pitch.

Running a 23pitch stainless. thinkiing of getting a 21 for big trips where I'm loaded up but will do a few trips before I decide. Second talking to Marcus at northern propellor tho. I deal with him quite a bit with work and the guy knows his stuff!! Keep in mind mate I have only done 1 hr of running time so I'm still working it myself. will give yu some more info once I'm back in town and done a trip or two. And if the fuel economy improves once the motor is run in.

Re: 140 hp suzuki
Cheers for the heads up. I will give him a call after the holidays. I know which prop I like for everyday use but would like to know what the setup would do at its potential. Good luck with your new motor.mick_c wrote:Running a 23pitch stainless. thinkiing of getting a 21 for big trips where I'm loaded up but will do a few trips before I decide.
