Marrakai Track

Post by BJOBrien »

G'day, I'm planning on takin my missus and her friend from down south out to Corroboree Park for a beer, then via Marrakai Track to Litchfield. Problem is My 4WD is only a 2 seater so I have to take the Subaru Forester. Can anyone tell me what the road is like? Much water around? Worth a flick at the barrage? Thanks in advance.

If it ain't a decent 4wd drive, I wouldn't do it. Adelaide river is flowing fast and at about 500mm over. The fishing was cr.p as the water was thicker than chocolate milk as it is the first flush for the year. Margarett river junction has two massive crocs that were a bit p...ed off so don't go putting toes any where near the water there. Both gators around the 4m mark.
