Mad or inspired? Wait and see I guess....

Post by deepblack »

Hi All,
Finally got off my a $$ and got the casting deck mod I have been talking about for years underway.
The new stuff goes in tomorrow, I will post photos of the progress.
Cheers,
John.

Good to do stuff just to be different! Look forward to seeing it, haven't had a good boat mod on here for a while.

Matt,
The main reason to do the mod was that the old school Vee in the front had a slope on it and had been killing my legs after a long day. Hopefully this will fix the problem. So far so good, the bracing goes in next.
Be a monster casting platform when it's finished. Here's a picture update with the gunnels in waiting on tig work to pretty up the external joins.
Cheers,
John.

Looking good john

A great deck
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Thanks for all the feed back guys.
Sweaty, you couldn't pay me enough to do a job like that on a regular basis. I reckon to a degree Aluminium fabricators earn their money when it comes to mods on boats. Nothing is square and it is all cut to fit so everything takes 3 times longer than it should, bastard of a job. :banghead:

Swoffa, that's the idea! I was careful for there to be no protrusions for exactly that reason. I have a new TFO Mangrove that hasn't seen water yet...

Cheers,
John.
