Re: spinning off the rocks
I like a 2.5mtr low on the out going, seems to be the best tides for East Point.
Sending out Balloons with the outgoing tide and off shore wind to assist works well.. live mullet or Pilchard should get you a Mackie, shark or something off size

Don't expect heavy weights off east point. 3 kgs . you should thank the gods, if you haul them at east point. if you want a tonner, deep sea, mate. . landbased..be cool.
live baits may result in bigger fishies...........

Fish east point when there's just enough light to see early in the morning to see with rooster poppers then after the suns up a bit switch to halco twisties (30g) or white flick baits worked erratically.

Re: spinning off the rocks
Hi there,
Yes early morning at East point has been my favourite.
And spin like a maniac, as fast as you can.
Just be carful, I see more and more crocs at east point, and this is why I don't go there as often as I used to.
Spin fast, small lures, no big ones and East point is a good spot.
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Seen crocs their jaw wide open maybe a ploy to get the seagulls in. Just be watchfull, 180 degrees watchfull, at least. V alley I call it, queenies home and GT playground. Live baiting will get you to battle GTs at eastbpoint . And they are one direction fish. If you cannot turn their heads towards you.? Game over.

Livies are the go mate. if you're into popping and spinning east point is more or less a hit or miss. I've found schools of decent size queenies and gt come through on the out going spring around the 3m mark. Good luck

Re: spinning off the rocks
Got a mac and a small queenie of east point sunday.
There was plenty of schools of fish busting up.
Got them on small crome lures.
Went back Monday and got nothing.
You just have to be on there at the right time as it is a bit hit or miss.

Hi there,
Here are some of the fish I got land based at East Point a few year ago.
On small chrome slices.
And I have seen some friend of mine getting much better fish there.
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Heaps of big trevs, queens, at East point. You just have to be at the spot at the right time, use the right technique. ) but you won't be seeing action like 6 trevs or 2 queens in 30 mins. Only happens lately at East arm or stokes hill. Spring tides tomm with high current flow, float a live bait. It will get smashing bite.
Btw make a bite into a hook up land the fish is what's worth it. Cheers

Re: spinning off the rocks
I have fished here plenty of times and it is frustrating as hell untill you figure out what your doing wrong. Best tides and times are early morning like every one says and also when the top of the springs hit sunset. Live bait is your best option (floating or small running sinker), only had a few small fish on lures but i found they only take super small metal slugs. A few times there have been BIG fish Busting up just out of casting range and night time.
Here is my PB skinny at 110cm from East Point.
