Hi there,
So what do you think?
Fluoro or mono?
Does it depends of where you fish, or one fits all?
Pro and con?
That is the kind of question that have been running in the back of my mind for a little while now.
Basically, I would ove to start catching some fish again...
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Fluorocarbon is quite hard, soft monofilament is an advantage anytime a fish mouths the bait or lure.

Fluoro is harder to tie knots and is quite stiff, but has its place in heavy timber and rocky areas as it's more resistant to abrasion. I also like to use it as a wind-on-leader when trolling for big barra. Mono for everything else. Mono "hides" better in the water I reckon.

^^ The refractive index of fluro is closer to water than mono, so fluro should "hide" better.

Duno mate? Bit to technical for me, I just hold some under the water and see with my eyes. Maybe I'm going blind.
