Paid for my permit at Palmerston this morning and will be getting it in the mail
No numbers on the back of your shooters license this season so be sure to carry your paperwork with you while shooting
The y were not forthcoming with a start date or bag limits which puzzles me how such a thing can be left to the last minute to decide on or are they just teasing us

Yes, selling permits before the season details are decided seems odd.

Maybe they want to sell a few permits before they tell everyone the bag limit is 1.

Only joking, I'm sure it will be more than that :catch:

Parks and wildlife Palmerston told me yesterday, you can purchase permits this week, but you won't receive it on the spot, they will mail it next week as they don't have permits in their office yet, they expect season start to be 12th September but dates and bag limits will be set by end of this week

Goose season was announced yesterday. NTG Gazette from yesterday is here...http://www.nt.gov.au/ntg/gazette/2014/docs/S77_2014.pdf

Season starts 12 September 2014 and ends 6 January 2015.

Bag limit for Magpie Geese is 10 per person per day.

Bag limit total of 10 per person per day for Pacific Black Duck, Grey Teal, Hardhead Duck (also known as White-eyed Duck), Maned Duck (also known as Wood Duck), Wandering Whistling Duck (also known as Water Whistle Duck), Plumed Whistling Duck (also known as Grass Whistle Duck) and Pink-eared Duck. (forgive me if I've worded this last bit wrong)
