wiligi station fishing
Hi all...just a couple of quick questions about wiligi station....coming up from kununurra early October for our first trip to wiligi, fishing looks awesome from photos I have seen..got the option of two boats just wondering how the beach launching is there, mate is thinking about taking his 6.1m tabs would we have too much drama with it, but it would give us the option of exploring the islands further out..we don't see much blue water here in kununurra so it is going to be great to catch some different fish..or do we take a 4m tinny for easier beach launching maybe some blue water fishing and then the mini mini creek.
Also what are the winds like in early October (the first two weeks)...I would have thought that the winds would be starting to drop off a bit wondering if this is usually the case.

I'm also looking at going in mid October, never been before. How would I go getting a 6.1 bar crusher in and out?

Hey everyone just saw an FB post that Hooked Up Boat hire have a boat available for hire at Wiligi. Gotta be better than towing a boat up there and stuffing it on the road.

just been out there. fish and company fantastic. road was a little rough but care must be taken between 2nd and 3rd creek going up as road is worst there. we loved it. Beach launch was a bit hairy with the wind up. Enjoy

This a link to the Toyota land cruiser club of darwin's emag, there is a pretty big report from a few members who recently stayed out at wiligi. Might be of interest to people here.

Re: wiligi station fishing
We're heading up there in 3 weeks, keen as! Any tips?
We're mainly loading up on a range of 3,5,10 and 15 foot HB divers, some plastics and some poppers.
Mostly be 8-10kg gear. 30lb braid. 40-60lb leader.
We're all from vic so new to tropics fishing, and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
