There was a movie many years ago called "The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith" Jimmy's brother was called Mort and they made post & rail fences. I worked with a guy they started to call Jimmy, building post and rail.
There is a line in the movie where Jimmy calls Mort a "mad bastard". Apparently when I was younger I was a bit, lets say erratic, so they called me Mad Mort.

mine is from when i was born. middle brother couldn't pronounce my name and used to call me Miptopher instead of Christopher. so my folks said F it lets just call him Mip. i very rarely recognize someone calling me if they say Chris.
