Culling Lizards

Post by Hemi »

Hit the harbour for a few hours with the tin lids today....

Been keen-as to get out and cull lizards..!!!

Thought I'd try a spot i found while diving in the harbour the other week, a good looking rock
in the middle of nowhere...
It had a good population on it.

Anyway, tides were spot on, wind was bang on all morning!

Wasnt long before the culling started.

Pulled 5 lizards off the spot in about an hour and half?
Along with a cod & a goldie, another small goldie, and a few other bits & pieces...

3 of the flatties come in at 50cm... The others a bit less..

3 Pots produced 2 big boys & half a dozen blue swimmers...

Kids were happy to wag school and wet a line!

What a Southern post. You could have caught that lot down here (Gosford) except for the Goldies.
Good feed in all of that.

Not a bad haul, well done

Get a few of them around the place

Good fun with a little rod too, nice lizard
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Reef flat. Fairly solid size too! It helps knowing where the fish are before you try to catch them. lol
