Vernon Islands?

Post by Natho »

Hi guys

I'm just after a little advice/help. With about 3.5m of tide movement on Monday am I wasting my time and fuel going to the Vernons to get jigging with it????

Thanks Natho

hmmm yep, too much wind on Monday

might go over later in the week
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Depends what you want to do over there.
More run more fun just like anywhere - easier to fish it on the smaller tides though.

No problem with the tides Natho, I usually fish over there on big tides.
Wind should calm a little later in the week though, don't like it over there when it's windy, even in the Blue Holes themselves it's annoying.

Would have been scary with big tides and big winds last weekend.
I always fish the vernon on the neaps and find it a difficult place to work out. Clean up one time and same tides /time of day you get donuts for next 5 trips. Bring heaps of jigs as there a lot teethy critters.
