I use some 20x20 ally box section from bunnos and screwed on flat bar either side bent,shaped on the end to fit the camera.
Just had it taped to the bollard.
I've got a couple of other gadgets and camera poles made up, I'll get them together and put a photo of it up to show yas.

Made a telescopic pole out of a zip pole from work, goes to 5m!

Also made up a boom about 2m long that allows the camera to go up and down keeping it level.

Just need like a snake type flexible one to mount and be able to get any angle.

The gorilla tripods are good as they can be bent around fence posts, trees or pipes etc and hold a bit of weight.

Went back to Port Lincoln for xmas and took the camera, there was no swell at all but tried it out anyway.
also took it out fishing to see what we could capture.
