Macka cracker,busted knacker
Gday all,
After a great trip out Thursday the stepson wanted to have a crack at some Mackies . But the wind forecast wasn't
good for Saturday so we decided to stay in close around bass reef ,loee patches area . We got on the water around
2.00pm and once we got through the slop and past Charles all was pretty smooth going with very little wind to worry
about .
Just short of Bass there was some good bait balls showing on the sounder and a few birds up high but not working
the surface so we set up for a troll and was soon rewarded with some nice Spanish coming on board.
The first fish decided to let me know he wasn't happy about being gaffed and as I was holding him up for a picture
he punched me in the knackers with a good tail slap , I almost went down for the count . Sunday morning was a glass off with some small Mack tuna busting up around us but still very flighty , I managed one for the
seadogs comp to finally get me on the board
cheers
Jeff

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

Funny stuff I'd be happy that it was from the blunt end of the mackerel

very funny mate. Great post once again .
I'm in the market for a new gaff. The float one I have is borderline useless , bounces of everything I gaff. That one you have looks sturdy and with some bling appeal. Where did you buy it.
