Goose Weapon
Hey Fellas,
I'm in the market for a new gun, we have heaps of geese down the back of our property but are getting closer and closer (destroying gardens)
I know a simple way to shoo them off is to run at them but they just keep coming back again and again!
Caught plenty of goose with sinkers!
But want to gain some skill in shooting!
So I've decided to buy a new gun and im looking at the .22's!
I've shot .22's and i wouldn't know if they would drop a goose?
Also the price range is 500-1500 and the gun doesn't have to be new it can be second hand!
You might be wondering as why not a shotgun, well its just too easy to knock em off like that I wanna have some fun!
Cheers,
TT

Re: Goose Weapon
Look into the legalities of shooting them with a 22 first and birds must be in flight before you can shoot them
The past is history, the future is mystery, the moment is a gift and that's why it's called the present

Hey Territory Tuff you might want to edit your post a bit Bro
Caught plenty of goose by tying sinkers on to the rods and having a flick into the pack and wrapping around their necks or feet which is good fun!

Another thing i have to take into consideration is that we have a lot of livestock, and when my mates came round with shottys the livestock went crazy ramming down electric wire fence!
What about using crossbows?

It's illegal to shoot geese with a crossbow.. Compound or Recurve bows are legal though.

Obviously no one gives a rats that its a public forum.
Must shoot birds in flight.
very hard to do with a 22 or any other rifle.

Will they be the first to complain when it's banned? Probably not as most of the young ones attitude these days is here for a good time not a long time and they don't seem to care who or what they f@rk up in the process
