Lee point 110 mackie.

Post by muckamadboy »

Went out to lee point today wind picked up early with heaps of chop around. Had no luck for and hour or so with a bait on the ballon seen heaps of bait about 5m deep with big fish chasing them on the sounder so I then decided to take the ballon of and let it get a bit deeper. I flicked the bail over and set the drag before I could even get to the other side of the boat the rod was bent over and screaming. It turned and came straight at the boat until it got caught in my other line still out and another boats line after I cut those off there was about 30m of line wrapped around my line. It went for another run decided to go under the anchor rope. After all the messing around finally got it in the boat wasn't the easiest thing to get it in without anyone else on the boat. Cheers to the old blokes who took the photo.

That's one unlucky fish, good angling to get it on board with all the tangles

Good stuff, those macks don't mind doing the twist, lost a few out there the same

Great that you got him in and a couple of nice pics :-)
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
