Hey guys just a heads up. The pipe laying barge at channel island has a 500m saftey zone around it and it is not recomended to enter as it has 12 huge anchors that have large wires running off it for approximatly 300m or so in a circle around it. The anchor positions are marked with huge orange/red bouys/Cans. The wires coming from the barge could be a hazard as they are arial for a long period before entering the water and the risk of not seeing one is fairly high. It is recommended that all vessels should pass to the out side of the bouys and not through the middle between the barge and the floats. A vessel is on standby for directions if required. The barge will be in this position for a couple of weeks and then will start working its way out of the harbour slowly for sea.
