Remote land based fishing spots?

Post by barnzy »

Hi all, looking at going away with my Missus for a few days over Anzac weekend, any suggestions for some good landbased fishing spots or crossings? Apart from the usual shady camp etc.. Anywhere a little more remote?

The Rockhole bong near the boat ramp has some rocks to fish off- and can hold decent barras, also pococks beach (near Point Stuart) is a place I've been meaning to fish. If you want to go really remote sandy creek in Arhnem land is a good spot as is cobourg .

Maraki crossing should be good this weekend.
Plenty of spots along the river banks
Just take care as there will still be a bit of water around making any of the tracks tricky
