Finniss Fresh

Post by Blinky »

Hit the Finniss on Saturday, expecting heap of others was happy to arrive and find two other trailers.
Fished through to about 4.30 for a gazillion Sooties and Tarpon, half a dozen Barra, largest going 70 cm coming out of the creek right beside the boat ramp, bout 30 m up from the mouth. Got everything casting.......every creek had fish at the mouth or up inside. Went way down the right hand side at the three ways, tried to get through to Sweets but too over grown. Trolled most of the way back from there and a few Kay's in the main section for zip! Great day nevertheless.
BTW, the mozzies were absolutely horrendous........Shady Camp has nothin' on this place, especially up the creeks!!!

Dip has about 6" in it, the flow just about ends where the log jam is, no visible flow in the creek itself. That's where we got the bigger Barra from. It's flowing at a fair clip down past three ways.

Hi there,

Well done Blinky.
I have never landed a Sootie yet…
:o

Not that it is on my bucket list, but still it is a fish from up here…

Have a good day,
Pecheur

Looks good, Havnt been there for a while, might have to make a trek out there while there's still a bit of water in the creeks.

Love those big sooties

Cheers for the report
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
