The reel used to be my main spinning reel for a period time and therefore has been carefully maintained and serviced. Its role has been superseded by a Stella and has not seen much use in the past few months, hence my decision for selling.

Mechanically, I would rate it 9.5/10:
- A set of Stella drive gear bearings has been fitted providing tighter fitting which resulted in significantly reduced handle play. Currently the handle play is almost unnoticeable;
- Roller bearing has been replaced prior to my purchase of the Stella;
- I did a full service on the reel after the purchase of the Stella before putting the reel away. Internal has been carefully inspected, cleaned and re-greased/re-oiled;
- All other major bearings (rotor & pinion) and have been cleaned and re-oiled;
- Drag has been serviced last weekend.

Cosmetically, I would rate it 8/10 mainly because of the paint damages on the stem (caused by the ring) and the bottom close to the chrome plate due to normal use. Since the reel is in black, these minor paint damages are not as pronounced as shown in the photos. See photos for detail.

Not a bad deal. Good luck buying from Motackle.

Keep in mind at Mo's the 2500 is $259, postage is between $15 - 25$. The 200 m of top quality Japanese PE line worth $50 plus if you can find this brand here in Darwin.

On top of that, a brand new one might not be as smooth as this one because the internals of this one has been checked, cleaned, serviced and re-greased/re-oiled by myself, not someone on the factory line in Malaysia. Don't mention the expensive rubber sealed (instead of metal ring shielded) drive gear bearings from a Stella that I fitted it with.
